A second application was submitted to turn a former dental surgery into a six-bed house of multiple occupancy (HMO).
First application to make a seven-bed house of multiple occupancy at the place, on Bolton Road, Farnworth, was declined, and now the developers have entered a second application.
Residents of nearby homes complained, after the initial submission, that the conversion would gather too many people in one building, leading to problems with parking, refuse collection and noise.
A final decision will be made at a Planning Committee meeting on Thursday Feb 07.
